The habitat project
NGO: Arquitectura Sin Fronteras

Urban intervention in Chamanculo C, Maputo, Mozambique, focused on granting the obten- tion of DUAT to the inhabitants, through the conversion of their alleyways into more accessible roads, and the infraestructure improvement of the sanitary sewer system. Also, this considers the inclusion in their public policy, of a 9 step methodology for the access to the use of land.- This intervention is jointly developed between the Municipality of Maputo, Arquitectura sin Fronteras, the community of Maputo, and Water & Sanitation For the Urban Poor.

Women building sustainable communities
NGO: Hábitat para la Humanidad Bolivia

Building of 60 sanitary facilities with recycled materials, containing a sink, toilet, and shower, that function through a graywater recycling system. The project is mainly focused on women from the 8th and 9th south districts of Cochabamba, Bolivia, that are the head of their house- holds and whose families are in a social vulnerability position.

Viviendas autoconstruidas con sistema reforzado de adobe, que permite 6 diferentes configuraciones a su programa, a partir de la variación de cantidad de habitaciones y la adición de un corredor exterior. El proyecto considera que las dimensiones de sus recintos, configuraciones técnicas, materialidad y su elaboración, respondan a criterios culturales de la arquitectura tradicional de su contexto.

Healthy latrines for ex-refugees families
NGO: CIRMA

Construction of 98 brick and cement latrines, that include toilet and sink, made for families of ex refugees in extreme poverty located in Villa Tanah, Kupang, Indonesia. This project was carried out by the NGO CIRMA, with support from the New Zealand embassy and SELAVIP. And was executed in a participatory manner, involving the beneficiary families in the implementation.
