Platforms to help you compress images and documents

We present some platforms that allow you to reduce and/or compress the size of images and PDF files for more efficient management of these graphic resources.

Platforms like iLovePDFAdobe Acrobat onlineSmallpdf and TinyPNG allow you to reduce the size of PDF files and images online and without installation. These tools use different levels of compression to reduce file size, making it easier to share files and saving storage space. They also offer the ability to manage files in batches and access premium features for more frequent use. 

To compress PDF files online: 

  1. Select a platform: 
    Visit the website of a platform of your choice, such as iLovePDF, Adobe Acrobat online, o Smallpdf.
  2. Upload your file: 
    Click the button to select a file from your device or drag and drop it to the designated area.
  3. Choose the compression level: 
    Some platforms allow you to select a compression level (for example, high or medium) to balance file size with image quality.
  4. Compress and download: 
    Start the compression process and, once complete, download your reduced PDF file.

To compress images online: 

  1. Access the tool: 
    Enter the platform like TinyPNG, which in addition to PNG, also allows you to compress JPEG files, or other image optimization tools.
  2. Upload your images: 
    Drag and drop the images you want to compress into the upload area or select them from your device.
  3. Download the compressed version: 
    Once compression is complete, you can download the optimized images while maintaining good quality.

    If you need to reduce PDF file sizes frequently or perform more complex batch processing, there are desktop applications such as iLovePDF Desktop for macOS or Windows, which offer you advanced features and offline options. 

  • Acrobat Pro: 
    If you're using the full Adobe Acrobat Pro software, you can use the PDF Optimizer for more granular control over your compression settings.
